TY Sokun Theary is a Research Assistant of the Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) and Centre for Governance and Public Innovation (CGPI) of the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI).

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Studies with concentration in International Economics from the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy (IISPP), Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). Her research interests include various aspects of inclusive economic development such as institutionalization, gender equity, equitable access to education and health, STEM education, and environmental sustainability.

Prior to joining CDRI, she has accumulated her professional experiences in driving development efforts with public, private, and non-profit organizations in areas such as gender equity and youth empowerment through her internship with Transparency International Cambodia (TI), enhancing educational access and inclusion as a project ambassador with The Beautiful Learning Cambodia (TBL), and advancing sustainable and green development effort across Asia-Pacific through multinational collaborations at the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB).
