As Cambodia accelerates its transition toward a robust digital economy and social framework, the Verify.gov.kh platform serves as a cornerstone of its digital public infrastructure. Developed by the Digital Government Committee, the blockchain based verification platform aims to eliminate document forgery and streamline administrative processes.

Despite its growing strategic role, the broader economic value of Verify.gov.kh, including the costs it helps to reduce or avoid, has not yet been systematically examined. This project seeks to address this gap by generating evidence on the platform’s economic contributions and its potential to enhance efficiency, transparency, and trust in public service delivery.

The study will assess both direct financial gains, such as savings from reduced paperwork, processing time, and administrative costs, and wider socio-economic benefits. In addition, the analysis will examine the platform’s contribution to improving public service delivery, reducing risks of document fraud, and strengthening trust in government institutions.

Findings from the study are expected to provide robust evidence to guide strategic planning and maximise the long-term value of Cambodia’s digital public infrastructure.
